Taking decisive action can be exhilarating.
It turns out, the opposite is also true.
Procrastinating can be debilitating.
I’m much more creative, productive and successful when I stop dwelling on things, stop putting off uncomfortable decisions, and just take action.
Do it. And don’t look back.
This is not to say you should be haphazard or erratic in your decision making. Quite the contrary.
Evaluate all the options, pick the one that serves you best, and take action.
Now, a “ready, fire, aim” approach isn’t always best.
But it is always better than “ready, aim … aim … aim … aim …” and never fire.
When I started making quicker decisions and taking more decisive action – in both my personal and professional life – my business improved. And when my business improves, I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on more people … and a bigger impact on each one.
Have you ever been at a stage of your life when you woke up one day and wondered how you’ve managed to stay in an unhealthy job or relationship for years … or even decades?
Inertia yields nothing but the same results you’ve been getting. So if you want better, you have to be better … and act faster.
This can apply to your health and fitness.
I can’t tell you how many people have told me, “I really need to join a gym,” but never do.
It’s about the same number of people who’ve told me, “I really need to go on a diet,” but never do.
So if you’re training with me now and/or participating in my nutritionOS program, think back to the moment when you decided to do that.
Did you hesitate? Procrastinate? Wait for the “perfect time?”
Or did you just start?
Also, recognize and celebrate how huge it is that you made that decision, took that action, and are still going strong. It’s rare.
If you’re not training with me yet, what are you waiting for?
The perfect time will never come.
Your circumstances will never change if you don’t take action.
And you’ll be amazed by how many positive things and people you’ll attract when you take powerful, decisive action.
I’m not going to ask if you’re ready, because being ready isn’t a prerequisite for success.
You’re not going to be ready until you decide to act.
Whatever you decide to do, do it fast. Be decisive. And don’t look back.
