In most of the world, four years ago tomorrow marked the day when everything changed.
The COVID shutdown.
In some ways, it seems like yesterday …
And in others, it feels like ancient history.
I’m not sure about you, but I’ve changed in some very important ways as a result.
Here are three ways I navigated circumstances that seemed really damaging at the time, resulting in being, living and performing better:
Resilience: Things that used to really throw me for a loop don’t even phase me now. I feel that my experience with the COVID shutdown made me stronger.
Sleep is non-negotiable: The pandemic taught me that I didn’t have as many things to do as I thought I did. Instead of staying up an hour or two longer and doing sub-par work, I shut down, get my 8+ hours of sleep and live to conquer another day.
Mindset guides everything: Our thoughts and beliefs control our actions, which determine our results. If our mindset is broken, our results might fool us for a while … but in the long run, they’re not going to be what we want. Fix your mindset first.
The pandemic may be over, but the ways we learned to navigate its challenges are still useful today.
How have you changed for the better since March 2020? Reply back and let me know.
