Gas Prices

So imagine there are at least two gas stations in your town … and unless you live on the North or South Pole, hopefully that’s the case.

One gas station is selling gas for $3.19/gallon. Remember those days?!?!?!

The gas station across the street is selling gas for $4.49/gallon.

Given the choice, where are you going to buy your gas?

We’ve been conditioned to “shop around” and get the “cheapest price.”

But is cheapest always the best?

Actually, it’s almost never the best.

You see, the cheap gas is diluted, so you get less mileage per gallon. It’s also less refined, and loaded with acidic chemicals that, over time, will damage your carburetor and engine. So it might be OK for a while, but at some point, you’re going to have to take time off from work to bring your car to the shop to undo the damage.

Kind of self-defeating, don’t you think?

The more expensive gas gets you better mileage and easier on your car’s engine. So even though it’s 40% more expensive, it’s worth it in the long run.

Why do I bring this up? I had a conversation with a new client recently, and she was paying $20/month for her gym membership. Sounds like a great deal, right?

Wrong.

Sure, it was cheap. But because it was so cheap, there were always too many people there … no matter what time she decided to train.

The equipment she wanted to use was always occupied. So she spent most of her workout time – precious time that she’d carved out of her busy schedule – standing around and waiting for some stranger to finish “repping out” on some machine.

It ended up being a pathetic waste of time … and money.

And worse, she wasn’t getting any results.

No wonder … because standing around and watching other people exercise isn’t the recipe for results.

Hey, it would be great if that were the case, right? 😉

But, it’s not.

So, when it comes to fitness options, beware of cheap.

When it comes to your health, overall fitness, and longevity on this Earth, you deserve more.

You deserve better.
