Who’s your buddy?

Over the years, I’ve found that people who start their fitness journey with a friend, partner or coach have a lot more success.

Let’s face it … staying motivated to work out can be hard. But having a workout buddy to hold you accountable and motivate you can make all the difference.

I hear something like this all the time when someone shows up for a training session not feeling 100% energized.

Maybe they had a bad day … didn’t sleep well the night before … or just had a bad encounter at work that’s weighing on them.

“If I didn’t have an appointment to work out today,” they’ll say, “I definitely would’ve skipped it.”

And invariably, by the time the workout is over, guess what they say?

“I’m so glad we did this today.”

Listen, sometimes we have our own reasons and motivations to show up. And sometimes, those are enough.

Oftentimes, they’re not.

What’s going to happen on those days?

What if you’re not letting yourself down, but also someone else?

Someone you care about?

Or maybe you have a coach who cares about you, who has planned out the perfect workout and is looking forward to seeing you smile … if not at the beginning of the session, for sure before you log off. 🙂

Accountability is so important. And whether you’re well into your fitness journey or just getting started, working out with someone you enjoy spending time with and care about can make all the difference.

For both of you.

Your friend and coach,
