What Should I Eat for Breakfast?

Happy Wednesday!

I have a pretty regimented routine being an introvert. There is not a lot of time spent thinking of what I am going to eat as it is already long since planned it out.

But that is just me.

So…

One of the things I see people struggle with the most when they want to have a flatter stomach is what to eat for breakfast.

And just as important, what not to eat.

Here’s a quick, 2-minute read from the website “Eat This, Not That” on the four best breakfast foods you should eat if you want to have a flatter stomach.

Spoiler alert: Oatmeal, eggs, protein shakes, and plain Greek yogurt.

I’ll add one to the list: Avocado toast. Just toast up a slice of Ezekiel bread, cover it with a store-bought avocado spread (or make your own by mashing an avocado, squeezing in some lemon juice, and shaking some red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor). You can even jazz it up with a slice of smoked salmon or a soft/hard-boiled egg if you like.

What should you avoid?

❌Sugary cereals.

❌Instant oatmeal (too much sugar).

❌Starchy carbs (like bagels).

❌Fatty meats (like bacon and sausage … most are loaded with sodium and preservatives).

If you got off track with your nutrition during the holidays, sometimes getting breakfast sorted out can set the tone for the rest of the day, minimize cravings, and set you up to make successful decisions with your lunch, dinner and snacks.

What’s your healthy breakfast go-to? Reply back, I’d love to know.
