I received a nice note from a new client the other day who mentioned that she loves her workouts a couple of times a week, for reasons that have always made sense.
Plus, a new reason.
Sure, she loves the workouts. Absolutely, she loves the results she’s experiencing (more energy, no back pain, getting stronger every week).
Then came the reason that really grabbed me: “This is my only socialization during the week,” she wrote, “so I really look forward to hopping on.”
That stopped me in my tracks.
And made me appreciate the awesome responsibility I have to help people not only with results like strength gains and fat loss … but two things that are arguably more important.
Community and connection.
Due to the obvious circumstances beyond our control, we don’t have nearly the social interaction and contact that we used to have.
And when someone chooses to spend a couple hours of their week with ME pursuing health, fitness and wellness together … Well, that’s a massive responsibility.
Sure, they love the workouts and the results they’re getting.
But more importantly, they’re enjoying — and truly NEED — the community and connection that comes with those workouts.
Working out with an online coach will help you feel good, get results and feel connected and part of a community.
As a longtime professional in the fitness industry, that last part — connection and community — is probably the one thing that makes me feel the proudest.
