I recently had a long-term in-person client tell me that they didn’t want to transition from our in-person sessions to sessions done strictly online. His exact words to me were that if he was going to do online training he would just get ‘one of those free apps’.
As you can imagine being compared to a free app really upset me since this client knew my value and had been training with me for over 10 years.
But I found that a lot of people don’t seem to think that virtual (online) training can deliver the same results as training with a trainer or coach in a gym.
Training with a coach virtually brings more to the table than any exercise app:
- You will be held accountable for doing your workouts. Trust me you don’t want to skip out on your coach. 😊
- Your workouts are designed for you, your strength level and abilities (instead of being some random workout of the day designed for the 18- 20 somethings that only care about looking good for Instagram.)
- You get real-time cues to fix your posture and positioning to make sure that you are getting the maximum benefit from the exercise with minimal risk of injury.
- You can ask your coach questions when they come up. Try doing that with a free app.
- You also get a fun and enjoyable eating plan that is designed just for you and your eating preference not the popular diet of the week. And we all know how important nutrition is for reaching your fitness goals.
