Ah yes, a new year … 2021.
Or is it just a rewind of 2020?
You get to decide.
It seems that a lot of people have hit the “wall” with quarantine, restrictions and things being different than they were before.
I get it. The circumstances haven’t been ideal. Working out is different now. Does that mean it’s worse?
That’s for you to decide.
Nobody else but you.
We can either complain about the circumstances or make the best of the circumstances we have.
One of my favorite quotes is from George Bernard Shaw:
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, they make them.”
My advice would be to avoid the following:
“I don’t get as good of a workout with virtual training.”
“I’m not motivated to work out at home.”
“I can’t work out with a mask.”
Whatever your particular circumstance, none of these statements is a fact.
They’re all decisions.
Only YOU get to decide what you’re capable of in 2021.
Only YOU get to decide what goals you’re going to set.
Only YOU get to decide what actions you’re going to take …
every day, every week, every month … to achieve them.
Don’t focus on anybody else or what THEY think.
Their goals are not yours. Their limitations are not yours.
Only YOU get to decide what you want for your body, health and happiness … and only YOU get to decide what you’re going to do each day to move closer to those goals.
Do you. Believe in YOU.
