When there’s something that we really don’t want to do, it’s very easy to say, “I don’t have time.”
It’s easy to hide behind things that keep us busy, so we can avoid the more difficult things that will actually move us forward.
If you’ve become one of those “I don’t have time” people, I want to demonstrate to you why this perspective is absolutely false.
If you “don’t have time” for yourself, what you’re saying is that other people are more important than you are.
Think about that for a minute.
Think about where on the list of priorities you’re placing yourself.
Pretty far down the list, huh?
When we are trying to avoid the actions and steps that will improve our own lives, it becomes really easy to convince ourselves that the people around us wouldn’t be able to survive without us.
Well, I have a question for you.
Do you think you’ve filled those people up?
Do you think you’ve poured a full cup for them?
Yes, or yes?
So I want you to do the following exercise.
Fill a bucket with water.
Place your hand in the bucket.
Pull it out.
It’s still a full bucket of water, right?
Nobody missed you.
You’re not as important as you think you are.
Your thinking was just an excuse not to take care of yourself.
Just here to help!
