Did you know that lack of sleep can throw your hormones out of balance?
Maybe you think your sleep is fine.
Maybe you get a solid 7-9 hours a night but you wonder why you still feel tired in the morning….sleep isn’t just about how long you sleep.
It’s about the quality of your sleep.
Our bodies naturally release melatonin (the sleep hormone) in response to darkness.
The problem we have now is that we spend time after dark watching TV or spending time on that device that’s just too tempting to leave alone.
These screens put out a certain spectrum of light that mimics sunlight which inhibits melatonin production.
The best thing would be to give up your evening screen time but since for a lot of people that’s just not a realistic option (can someone say addiction).
Instead you can wear these super cool looking glasses! They block the blue light spectrum!
Put them on at least an hour before you plan to go to bed and your sleep quality will improve because your body is releasing the melatonin it’s supposed to.
