When most people start a fitness program, they make a critical mistake.
They try to do it alone.
They either try to do it without a coach to guide and support them and hold them accountable …
And/or … they fail to share their intentions and goals with friends and family members who could help support them.
There are two problems with this approach.
First, we all do better with a coach … even coaches 🙂 I have several of them myself … to help me continue building a business that can help change people’s lives and make me happy 🙂
Second, if you’ve started taking steps to change your life for the better, become happier and healthier, and potentially live longer (and pain/disease-free), why would you keep that to yourself?
Telling the people who are important to you that you’re exercising and eating better can only result in two outcomes … and both of them are really good.
One, it’ll keep you motivated and accountable to the people you’ve shared your journey with.
Two, it could inspire someone you care about to come along for the ride.
So let’s make a deal. In the coming week, I’m going to reach out to five people I know and see if they need my help … or know someone who needs my help. If those five conversations result in me getting an opportunity to help one person, that’s a win for both of us.
Would you do the same? Reach out to five people you know and either share your wins on your fitness journey so far … or … if you’re thinking about starting a fitness program, let them know what you’re going to do and why.
If one of those people decides to join you, then you will have done the single best thing you can do for another person … help them make a positive change that will improve their life.
And they will make you more motivated and accountable … and will make your journey even more rewarding and enjoyable.
Would you reply back and let me know when you’ve reached out to your five people? I’d love to know the outcome.
