It’s December 1, already. Thanksgiving is over, and holiday season and New Year’s is right around the corner.
Did you know that the average person gains 7-10 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year’s?
Depressing but true.
So what can you do about it?
I’m doing a pretty cool thing with my clients that I wanted to share with you.
The Zero-Pound Challenge.
You read that right.
Zero pounds.
Most programs are focused on losing weight, but that may be an overly ambitious goal this time of year. With things opening up and holiday parties back on the table, you want to be able to enjoy things you haven’t been able to for a long time.
Now, does that mean it’s time for a no-holds-barred descent into nutritional depravity? Not so fast. We want to be reasonable and enjoy the season responsibly.
If you simply shift your focus from unrealistic weight loss to simply not weighing 1 pound more on New Year’s Day than you do today, you’ll be light years ahead of most people.
There will be no need for New Year’s Resolutions (which usually fail, anyway) or extreme diet or exercise come January. You’ll simply be able to settle back into a normal, less indulgent routine.
One more thing: If you’re currently exercising … don’t stop! Let’s acknowledge that our calorie intake is going to be up a bit this month, so it’s the worst possible time to take a break from your workouts.
Yeah, it’s a busy time of year. Keep the number “Zero” top of mind, and make time for exercise.
If you’re not currently exercising … I have a great way for you to start TODAY. Just reply back and I’ll get you all the details.
